Chessboard
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
I wanted to finally get around to completing a project. So I opened up Godot and made a chessboard. It's pretty simple, but some of its features could be useful for playing a few chess variants.
Note that you can hold shift while letting go of a piece to stop it being snapped to the grid, if you want. There, uh, wasn't really room in the help sheet to put that in.
MacOS users, note that:
- Control does mean Control here, not Command.
- Ctrl+O to open the save folder doesn't work for reasons unknown to me.
If you want to get to the save folder manually, find it at:
Linux: | ~/.local/share/godot/app_userdata/Chessboard |
Windows: | %APPDATA%\Chessboard or %APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\Chessboard |
macOS: | ~/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/Chessboard |
